Rachel Bloom and Jerry O'Connell Join Upcoming Crazy for You

The pair will be featured in a cast that also includes Laura Osnes and Tony Yazbeck.

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend star Rachel Bloom and stage and screen favorite Jerry O'Connell (Seminar) have joined the cast of Crazy for You, a one-night-only presentation of Manhattan Concert Productions. The 25th-anniversary concert of the Tony-winning Gershwin musical will take place at David Geffen Hall at Lincoln Center on February 19.

Bloom will play Irene Roth, with O'Connell as Lank Hawkins. They join a cast that includes Tony Yazbeck (Finding Neverland) and Laura Osnes (Bandstand), who will costar as Bobby Child and Polly Baker, original cast member Harry Groener, who will take on the role of Bela Zangler, and 30 Rock favorites Rachel Dratch and Jack McBrayer, who will play Patricia and Eugene Fodor.

Five-time Tony Award winner Susan Stroman, who won a Tony Award for choreographing the show's original production, will direct. Further cast and creative team announcements will follow at a later date. The concert will also welcome a chorus of 240 singers from across the United States, a professional cast and creative team, and the enlarged forces of the New York City Chamber Orchestra.

With music and lyrics by George Gershwin and Ira Gershwin, and book by Ken Ludwig, the romantic comedy follows Bobby Child, a banker who dreams of dancing in the follies. When he's sent to foreclose on a rundown theater in Nevada, he meets Polly Baker, the daughter of the theater's owner, who has vowed to get even. Harry Groener and Jodi Benson led the cast of the original production.

Jerry has been known to be regular guest host on Live! With Kelley, so naturally people are asking if Jerry is up for a permanent co-hosting position with her.

Here are some of the random articles and interviews floating about on the topic:

Jerry O'Connell Wants to Co-Host 'Live!' with Kelly Ripa!
Jerry O'Connell Wants to Co-Host 'Live!' with Kelly Ripa!

Jerry O’Connell is ready to join Kelly Ripa on Live with Kelly!

While promoting his new Hallmark film Love Lock with wife Rebecca Romijn, the 42-year-old actor revealed that he’s willing to join Kelly on her morning talk show permanently.

“I’d do anything Kelly asked me to do,” Jerry told AOL.

Jerry has joined Kelly as a guest host several times since she started hosting the show by herself after Michael Strahan left the show back in April 2016.

Jerry continued to reveal a secret skill of Kelly‘s – she’s a great dancer!

“Kelly is a really good dancer! She had this whole routine choreographed with other dancers. When I got there I was like, ‘I need to take a hip-hop class because this girl is good,’” Jerry said.

Jerry and Rebecca‘s new film Love Lock premieres on Saturday (January 28) on The Hallmark Channel.

Is Jerry O'Connell Ready to Be Kelly Ripa's LIVE Co-Host Officially?

The actor gave an interesting answer about that coveted talk show gig on #WWHL.
There's been a lot of interest in who will permanently fill Michael Strahan's former co-hosting spot on LIVE. In fact, Kelly Ripa has made it clear that she's just waiting for the right candidate to come along. So when Jerry O'Connell stopped by Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Monday, he revealed whether he thinks he's the perfect candidate for the job.

And his response just might leave you wondering.

"For those who don't know, I've guest hosted on LIVE with Kelly. Andy and I have a funny joke, can I tell them? So Andy and I have a joke. So Andy guest hosts a lot as well and I get asked often [if I'd be interested in the job]," he said. "Well, of course, [on] red carpets, [but] even the cab I took over here the cabbie was like, 'Hey, man, are you going to be on LIVE with Kelly or what?' Like literally everywhere."

So, what's Jerry and Andy's gag? "And I have a pad answer that I do and Andy knows this. [It's], 'You know what? I would love to get that job, but I'm pretty sure it's going to Andy Cohen,'" Jerry continued, with Andy sharing his side of the joke.

"And I say, 'I can't do it, but i think Jerry O'Connell's the guy.' So we just punt it back and forth and no one has really caught on," Andy shared.

Jerry O'Connell isn't in any rush to make his co-host seat on Live! With Kelly permanent.

The celeb recently caught up with E! News about ABC's decision to choose Michael Strahan's replacement for the popular daytime talk show opposite Kelly Ripa, and from the looks of it, we're going to have to wait a bit longer.

"I'm obviously not a boss over there, but I can say from everything that I've heard that they're not ready to make any sort of decision on a co-host on Live! With Kelly yet," he exclusively revealed to us. "And you know what? Let them take their time."

Jerry explained, "Kelly's fine by herself. Kelly does a great job. I watch every day and Kelly's great."

But when he's not watching from home, Jerry is just as happy to fill in as Live!'s very own "substitute teacher."

Lots of news recently with Jerry and Rebecca.

They have a new TV movie coming out on the Hallmark Channel called "Love Locks" on January 28th

Here are some interviews with Rebecca talking about Jerry at

Interview at E!

Rebecca Romijnand Jerry O'Connell know what it takes to make a relationship last in Hollywood.

The lovebirds of more than 13 years caught up with E! News about what makes their marriage work, and in the process reminisced about their early days as boyfriend and girlfriend. Playing a must-see game highlighting their relationship milestones, Rebecca and Jerry revealed where their first date went down, how long into dating they kissed and so much more.

So without further ado, let's start from the very beginning. Romijn told us the pair first bonded over watching the Blue Moon Group in Las Vegas all the way back in 2004, and as fate would have it, ended the night with their very first kiss.

As for their first fight, well, these two didn't waste any time checking this one off the list. The actress joked, "[Our first fight] started that night and it hasn't ended. He won't apologize."

Celebrity Couples We Admire

O'Connell chimed in, "We get into fights regularly, and we're like, ‘Is this it? Is this the one that's going to make us get divorced?' And then we're like, ‘OK, let's forget it.'" "Let's go get something to eat," his ladylove added.

Moving on to Rebecca and Jerry's two 8-year-old daughters, twins Dolly Rebecca Rose and Charlie Tamara Tulip, the matriarch of the family admits they have their dad wrapped around their fingers. When asked which parent they go to for permission first, Romijn dished, "He's such a push over with them. Daddy's girls."

"I don't argue," Jerry agreed. "Even before they ask, I go, ‘OK.'"

Jerry also attributes their little girls as a major reason he and Rebecca are still together. To find out just how they've played a part, watch the rest of our interview above!

Don't miss Rebecca and Jerry in their new movie together, Love Locks, airing Jan. 28 on the Hallmark Channel.

Hallmark’s ‘Love Locks’ Stars Rebecca Romijn, Jerry O’Connell: Can Love Bloom In Paris Again? (VIDEO)

January 27, 2017 by

The Countdown to Valentine’s Day has begun on Hallmark Channel. To mark the occasion, real life spouses Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O’Connell star in the Hallmark original film, “Love Locks”, Saturday night January 27 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. They play former lovers, given one last chance to unlock love!

In the preview clip posted below we’re introduced to magazine publisher Lindsey (Rebecca Romijn) and her daughter Alexa who are on a mom-daughter trip to the City of Lights. There, they will experience romance and have to decide if fate knows best! For Lindsey, it’s been a long time between love affairs. Divorced and skittish of romantic entanglements, the last thing she had in mind was finding love in Paris again.

Why again? Because as “Love Locks” unfolds, we learn that Lindsey fell in love while there as an art student. The object of her affection at that time was college student Jack (Jerry O’Connell) who broke her heart when the love affair came to an end. Alexa and Lindsey are not in Paris by chance. The 18 year-old art student is preparing to spend a semester at a university there and Lindsey wanted to introduce her to the city.

Lindsey left on the heels of a business deal that turned personal. She was handed a lucrative offer to sell her business to Trent, a handsome and persuasive publishing house owner. He was falling for Lindsey and she didn’t return his feelings, at least she chose not to. With Valentine’s Day approaching, she used the trip to Paris as a chance to distance herself from the situation.

She’s unable to avoid it, however, when Trent shows up to press the point. Meanwhile, Jack and Lindsey come face-to-face in the hotel at which she’s staying with her daughter. He just so happens to own the place and they begin a reexamination of their breakup of 20 years prior. Alexa finds it all romantic and believes that fate has spoken. Lindsey isn’t as sure, but it’s Paris in February and those two make a cute couple, right?
