What will happen next Season? (2004-2005)

Yup - this is a new section I asked Erica to add in
First of all, I hope Woody comes back for the new season. Crossing Jordan seems to create new characters and get rid of them so frequently! It's funny to me how someone like Lorraine Toussain (Elaine Duchamps) was made a regular cast member last year, and they got rid of her halfway through the season. And then you have Jerry who has only gotten 'guest star' billing for 3 seasons. (makes me wonder if it's about money, or maybe Jerry wants to keep his options open)
I'd like to see Woody and Jordan get together, but they seemed to have gotten away from that story line this last season. I think it's like one of the creators/writers of CJ once said - the problem with creating love intersts for Jordan is you eventually have to kill them off. So, I suspect in order to keep 'Woody' around they might have intentionally distanced him from Jordan. Then again, it all could have been because Jill was pregnant and she had to cut back her hours!
I did miss the sexual tension between Woody and Jordan - but I'll be happy just as long as Jerry is back on the show next fall.

kedd, they have posted @ the coffeerooms board that Jerry will be a regular this coming season. The producer stated that himself. So that is great news. I want more woody/jordan stuff and I think we will get that this season. Jerry and Jill have great onscreen chemistry. They would be fools not to explore that relationship more.

I think he might keep the "guest star" billing because he makes more money and keeps him open to do other projects. That's what Heather Locklear did on Melrose Place. I'm really glad he's coming back tho because he got me hooked on the show! I'm catching up on the reruns on A&E now. Besides, I just love Miguel Ferer
Kedd, I love your site!!

Thanks for checking out my site Lisa I'd love to redesign it since I'm a little better at doing layouts and graphic design now - but it would be a major project.
In other Crossing Jordan News, I saw at the Coffeeroom bboard that the season premiere will be on September 26th! Just a few short months away.
It will be interesting to see if Jerry has Guest Star billing again - maybe he is like the female Heather Locklear for Crossing Jordan eh? Next thing you know he'll have a steady stream of roles where they bring him in to save existing TV shows! LOL! (Hey, it wouldn't be bad)

No Problem Tracey - I like to give credit to people who help keep me and the web site up to date I like to link to the original info when I can so people will know it's reasonably legit - or they can make up their own minds if they want to believe the news/gossip that's out there.
I had come across the cofferoom forum a long time ago, but I suppose I should check it out more often! How cool is it that people associated with the show take time to post there

With regard to Jordan and Woody's relationship, I really think/expect/hope that they will pick back up on their budding romance for this upcoming Fall season--if they are smart and listen to the viewers, anyway.
I did read, though, in a legitimate CJ article, that the writers purposely played down Jordan's personal life, this past season, because of her maternity leave. I guess it was almost impossible just getting her in some of the scenes because she was nursing her baby inbetween. I believe that's also why the episodes seemed so OFF, because they had to write scripts "around" Jill Hennesey, rather than "focusing" on her.

It will be very interesting to see what direction the show takes. The show became more of an ensemble last year due to Jill's pregnancy - and it did pretty well in the Sunday night time slot. Will the Network want the show to stick with this new ensemble format, or go back to it's focus on Jordan (maybe the coffeeroom has info about this?)
It's funny, the viewers do want Jordan and Woody to get together. But there was a legitimate article the other year that mentioned how Jordan's boyfriends always wind up getting killed off.
Darn it, I can't locate the article to pull the quote for you - but some time last year (maybe even in 2002?) I believe it may have been Tim Kring who mentioned that the problem with Jordan's love interests is they eventually end up getting killed off (well, not literally killed, but her love interests come and go) I think it was around the time the idea for the Sunset Division pilot was being discussed . Anyway, that comment always stayed in the back of my mind.

Unless I've missed something on the episodes, I don't really remember any of Jordan's love interests being killed off. They just showed 2 of them recently, on episodes aired on A & E, and neither one was killed off. With regard to the Jordan/Jerry thing, where it's been a slow building relationship and he is the main detective for Macy's group, I don't see why they would need to kill him off. Plus, his role now almost "belongs" on the show, whereas some of the one-night stands Jordan has had in the past, haven't had any real place beyond 1 episode. If anyone hears any spoilers for the Fall season, please post them.

Again, not literally killled off It's not like they ended up in the morgue - Killed off meaning the character no longer appears on the show. They were short lived relationships and from what I can tell, none of her former love interests appear regularly on the show these days. (I didn't watch much of season one, so if Jordan had something going on with one of the current cast members Please fill me in )I've tried to search for the article again, and It's driving me crazy that I can't locate it. (probably because it was more of a Crossing Jordan article - I don't always archive those on the fan site).
If I could find the quote you could draw your own conclusions from it. It was an old article anyway - I just remembered reading it and thinking 'oh no - if Woody and Jordan develop a relationship I hope they don't get rid of him too.' Again, let me emphasize it was an old article from over a year ago. A lot has happened since then with the show.

I agree, they have written the show to build up Jerry's Character so he wouldn't have to simply be another discarded boyfriend of Jordan's. He is his own entity without Jordan. It will remain to be seen if they want to heat up a romance between the two - we aren't in the writers heads so ultimately we don't know what direction they will decide to take.
I agree, I hope people will post spoilers here - just title it "SPOILERS" so those who wish to avoid them can avaoid them (spoilers have never bothered me).

I think Jordan and Woody have great chemistry but I wouldn't mind seeing someone new come in and stir things up. Maybe give Woody a new flirtation to get Jordan jealous. It looked like they might do that with the new character of Devan (was that her name?) The new blonde M.E.?
